Optivus Music is a nonprofit, UK based record label created exclusively for disabled artists in dance music.

Creator of Optivus Music, Nick, AKA Rid Production, acquired a brain injury back in 2012, meaning that we lead with deep understanding and lived experience. Knowing the challenges that disabled people face in both life and the music industry, we are whole-heartedly committed to removing systemic barriers for disabled people in the music industry.

We are here to do the work that is needed to push things forward. We want to make real change. Working hard to shine a light on the array of immensely talented disabled artists out there, Optivus aims to not only provide easy routes for disabled artists to release their music, but to promote accessibility, educate the masses and create a beautiful, thriving community along the way.

All label profits will be donated each year to our charity of choice charity. Our goal is to provide an income revenue for the artists we work with, whilst actively promoting and supporting other charities who are already doing the work.

‘After acquiring a brain injury in my early twenties, I soon discovered how isolating and misunderstood life with a disability is. I’ve had hard times but music was always there for me when I needed an outlet. I was able to express feelings I couldn’t describe. Now, after 4 years of producing music and realising how hard it is to get heard , I want to help other people with disabilities break through and make their mark on the scene.

The label is about breaking down barriers. It's about showing the world that talent doesn’t disappear with a disability. By making this a nonprofit and donating all proceeds to charity, I want to ensure that the focus stays on empowerment, inclusion, and creating real impact. Optivus means chosen in latin. We chose this name because we were chosen for this life, and we are chosen because we are strong.
